While you can simply continue in whatever pattern you have been working, many crocheters prefer to work the last loop of the forward pass either as a simple stitch or a knit stitch.
Working the last loop as a simple stitch
Insert you hook under the front vertical bar only of the last stitch, just as you would if you were to work a Tunisian simple stitch:

Insert your hook through the stitch and under the horizontal thread as you would if you were to work a Tunisian knit stitch:

I don’t have a strong preference for one or the other and use both depending on the design. I normally specify which of them is to be used for best results.
