It has been scorching here in London for the past couple of days, which is a good enough reason to procrastinate on any kind of chores/work, and go and play in a fantasy land called Polyvore, where you can imagine owning any crazy number of Jimmy Choo shoes, Louis Vuitton bags and Rayban glasses.
The quantifiable result at the end of the day – two sets featuring my latest crochet wardrobe additions, the fruit of my Summer 2016 efforts to spruce up my wardrobe.
The background images used as a colour inspiration, are snaps I took with my phone during my recent trip to Kazakhstan. Not much of a seaside in my hometown, but we do have a few pretty lakes! It was lovely to once again imagine myself on holidays, this time wearing these fancy outfits!
Set #1, Summer Postcard, features Jolie (pattern link), a casual lacy top:
Set #2, Summer Date, includes Gamine (pattern link), a sleeveless top with back buttoning (unfortunately, not visible in the set):
I think it’s a great idea to promote your designs and also to play around with a virtual wardrobe. I can imagine it does become addictive once you get into it… haven’t tried it yet… 🙂
Not sure about the promotional value, but that’s certainly something I kept telling myself: “I am not wasting my time, I am promoting!” 🙂
Let me know when you are on Polyvore – would love to see you there!
I first found out about polyvore when I discovered the Cup of Stitches blog. You and Lena proposed different looks involving your designs and it really did put a different spin on some of them. So I think it may be quite interesting as a complementary promotion tool… 🙂
That is very interesting to know! Thank you!
(You do realise you have just given me a blessing to spend even more time on Polyvore?!)
Well, a girl’s got to do what she has to do… 😉
